Bingo trends have changed dramatically since on-line bingo in my opinion, there was once a time when a man flatly refused to walk in a bingo hall with his wife and her friends, but now thanks to the technology today i.e. the internet, men, women and anything else over the age of 18 can play bingo.
The whole concept of playing bingo at anytime, anywhere has had a significant change of how people now see the game. Before internet came along the average bingo hall was filled with mostly OAP’s (or so I thought), and then Gala introduced clubs, as did Mecca and other known names, and suddenly the age difference widened, and more and more young people started to go.
Unfortunately this was all good until the smoking ban came into force and that was when many clubs were hit hard (some even closing) because the demand for bingo was not as great as the demand for smoking. This was for some people the end of the line in regards to playing one of the nations favourite games, until that is word spread of a great new way in which to play, a way where there is no time limit to how long you play, a way where you receive money for just entering a few details about yourself, this way of course was the brilliant on-line bingo.
The amount of players who now play online is staggering compared to how many played in the bingo halls, and because you have the privacy of your own home to play in, there has never been a better time, and in regards to how the callers used to call the numbers out, well….. I personally will not miss it; I much prefer how it is done today.
