I for one am a smoker and when the smoking ban came into force it did make me stop going to play bingo in my local Gala Club, but since I have had the internet connected I have not missed it one bit. Not that this is in anyway compensation for the smoking ban because in my opinion it should not have happened, but nevertheless it did and thanks to this many bingo halls have been seriously affected by it.

When I used to go to Gala Bingo club the seats were filled with eager bingo goers who enjoyed a chat with friends and the pleasure of playing bingo, smoking and drinking, I do not think I ever went when there was no less than 3 quarters of the bingo club filled, this was until the smoking ban came into affect. The last time I visited I tried to prove to myself that banning smoking would make no difference and I would still enjoy my night out regardless of whether I could drag on my cigarette or not, unfortunately that joy was taking out of my hands, as the amount of people that stopped going made the prize pots a lot less and the atmosphere dull. Since then, the club I used to visit has shut down which tells you the exact affects of the smoking ban and how it has made going out to bingo not so appealing for many players everywhere.
